Data we collect

We only collect information you voluntarily provide through the contact form: first name, last name (optional), email address, and your message. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

How we use data

Your information is never sold, shared, or used for advertising. It is used only to answer your question and is kept only as long as necessary.

Cookies & analytics

This site does not use advertising cookies. It uses two third-party analytics services: Google Analytics (audience measurement) and Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and anonymized session recordings). These services only start if you accept them in the consent banner shown on your first visit: they then set their own cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site. You can decline them without losing access to the site, and change your mind at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page. No calculator data is ever transmitted: calculations happen entirely on your device.

Third-party services

The contact form is processed by Formspree, a secure service: the information you enter there (name, email, message) is transmitted to Formspree solely so it can be delivered to us, when you submit the form. Their privacy terms apply to the transmission of form data. The newsletter signup form, found on some pages, is processed by the same service: your email is then kept to send you our new guides and rate updates, until you ask for its removal.

Data retention

Messages received through the contact form are kept for a maximum of 24 months, then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to the periods set by Google and Microsoft for their respective services.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, its correction or deletion, and withdraw your consent to its use. To exercise these rights, write to us through the contact form.

The person responsible for the protection of personal information at HypothequeGo.ca can be reached through the contact form. This channel is for questions and requests about personal information only. HypothequeGo.ca is an information site: it is not a mortgage brokerage firm and no mortgage applications are handled here.
